The visit of the M+E InfoTruck (M+E = metal and electrical) of bayme was already a great success last year. With this experience it was clear for MAHA that a repetition must take place. The InfoTruck travels through Bavaria under the motto "Fascination of Technology" and informs students in the seventh to tenth grades at secondary schools about the training opportunities in the metal and electrical industry.
Haldenwang, 1st March 2023. The choice of apprenticeships is huge. So it's all the more understandable that many young people in their final years are spoiled for choice and ask themselves the question: "What do I want to be?" To help them find a career, the apprentices of tomorrow were given the opportunity to visit the M+E InfoTruck on MAHA's premises from 14 to 16 February 2023.
Around 180 students from various secondary schools in Obergünzburg, Dietmannsried, Altusried and Kempten took advantage of this offer. They learned about the various training opportunities at MAHA and about the job profiles in the metal and electrical industries in general. The special feature - the students were able to experience the topic "Fascination of Technology" in a practice-oriented and intuitive way by means of vivid experiment stations.
This was provided by the M+E Info Truck with its 80 square meters spread over two floors. On the lower floor of the truck, the students were able to work on practically oriented tasks. These included, for example, programming a CNC machine and then milling a workpiece. In addition, various tasks with different circuits could be solved at a workstation with electric modules. On the second floor of the truck, the focus was on vocational training, which was presented on a large touchscreen. Through the presentation of MAHA trainees, the students were informed about MAHA itself, the profession of industrial clerk (m/f/d), available internships and the selection of applicants in the company. In addition, they were able to take a tour of the MAHA training workshop to find out more about the training and work situation and to talk to our trainees. Many students were enthusiastic about the diversity of the metal and electrical industry and the training opportunities at MAHA. The event accompanied by MAHA trainers Erwin Kling, Benjamin Hotz, Florian Filleböck, Maximilian Romer, Andreas Traut and Franziska Buz.
